Creating your own web site or Blog these days is almost a necessity for any online business owner. There are all types of blogs and Websites out there today like a product review blog, an informative blog, personal blogs, and marketing jobs, to name a few. In today’s world businesses have to compete using these blogs to receive a higher ranking in the search engines.

If you are thinking of building a web site or blog to make some extra money to take that long awaited trip or help pay for a new car then building your own product review blog is a great alternative.

As I mentioned in my first post, “Internet marketing product review” Internet marketing is one of the most competitive niches to break into on the internet but it can also be one of the most profitable, and one of the best ways is to build a product review blog or web site.

The niche that I decided to enter into (internet marketing) has a really large competitive field of over 42 million but don’t let that scare you because there are micro-niches from which you can choose from, like my product review blog that I have built.

I will be writing articles and reviews for products and software dealing with topics like web site search engine optimization (SEO), email campaign software, web marketing software, advertising affiliate program and how to increase web traffic to your website or blog to name a few.

Again the reason that I choice this niche is because of the great supply of products and software to choose from and also for the high demands for them and new products are being launched.

You yourself do not have to build a product review blog dealing with internet marketing. There are hundreds of niches to choose from like dogs, cats, health, weight loss, etc. or probably the best is something that you are really passionate about if you are just beginning.

If your goal is to make money from working at home then this can be done easily and with only spending a little money. The two things you should have are a domain name and a place to host your site.

You can get away free blog from blogger.com and WordPress.com but I recommend getting your own domain name and hosting company. There are special ways to use these two free sites which I will get into on another blog post.

The web hosting site that I recommend is HostGator.

And the Domain Name site that I recommend is GoDaddy.

By having a product review blog you can generate good revenue through writing articles, advertising affiliate programs and by putting banner or text ads on the sidebar of your site whether you are a beginner or a pro.

To be successful you need to be adding fresh new content to your blog regularly with products that will solve your visitor’s problems. This in turn will increase traffic to website or your blog. Remember, always write an honest review of the product to your readers and don’t only give them the good points about the product, let them know what you dislike about it also.

By doing the above you will get highly targeted visitors to your product review blog or web site that will keep coming back and check what’s new in your blog. People are searching daily for product reviews through the search engines and these are the ones you want to return to your product review blog.

Web site search engine optimization plays a big role if you are putting up a product review blog website that you are planning to advertising affiliate program(s) with.

This is the best way to start getting your product review blog rank higher in Google with the ultimate goal of being on the first page.

The first key to your success in web site search engine optimization is to have your domain name as part of your keywords.

Next, each web page or blog post that you add must be optimized and each web page must be unique, with their own content, titles and tags.

You then want to have the main keyword or keyword phrase added to the title tag of your blog which should be written in an attractive or creative way and be 8 – 12 words long. Because this tag is the most important, it should be created with the strongest keyword targets.

Joining social networks like Hubpage and Squidoo will allow you to focus on your specified topic, and write on it and they both permit you to bring RSS feeds.

You also want to start getting other back links to your site by joining forums and other blogs, leaving comments or answering questions that will provide solutions to other peoples’ problems. By doing this you can then place a link back to your site.

Most of the search engines will think that your site is relevant making this an important factor on having multiple links that guide people to your site.

By using these web site search engine optimization techniques and spreading the word out about your product review blog you will surely gain positive results once users visit your web site.
